In My Element

Good evening world

Today felt different—like I was finally in my element.

From the very start of the day, something in me just clicked. Maybe it was the rhythm of organizing breakfast and dinner for our guests, or maybe it was the way my mind wouldn’t stop racing as I tried to keep up with everything happening around me. Between capturing moments, sharing updates, and making sure things were running smoothly, I felt like I was wearing my Comms hat—broadcasting, observing, and holding space for Kubulau voices to be heard.

It was exhausting, yes. My body is tired, my mind is stretched, and my spirit feels poured out. But every inch, every second, was worth it.

There’s something about grassroots-level training that stirs me up. To see our youths show up—whether out of curiosity, a hidden plan, or simply because they were told to be there—and then to realize that they are now in a space where knowledge, opportunities, and new doors are opening up for them… that’s powerful.

I kept jotting down little takeaways from the sessions. The dynamics, the questions, the expressions on people’s faces—it all reminded me that no answer is ever good or bad. What matters is that we’re asking, we’re engaging, we’re showing up. And that, to me, is a seed planted.

Somewhere in between playing host, covering stories, and thinking ahead, I had this wave of realization: this is preparation. One day, I will be welcoming guests to my own eco-lodge and retreat. One day, I’ll be watching young mechanics in Kubulau fixing engines in their own workshop. One day, I’ll look back at this moment and see it for what it is—the training ground for the bigger things ahead.

Today felt surreal. Almost sacred. Like only the ones meant to be here were here. And I thank God for that, and for His Holy Spirit being present in the little details.

So here I am, still buzzing, still dreaming. On this road of becoming—business owner, resort owner, club owner, and yes, future millionaire. Not just for myself, but for the generations coming after us in Kubulau.

This is me, documenting the journey. Raw. Real. Becoming.
